Battle of Waterloo — June 18, 1815
On June 18, 1815, Napoleon suffered his final defeat at Waterloo at the hands of the Duke of Wellington and Field Marshal Blücher. This ended the Napoleonic Wars and the French Revolutionary era. Napoleon was exiled to the island of Saint Helena.
