Sixteen — the digital square

16 = 2⁴. The hexadecimal system (hex) is the foundation of digital technologies. Colors in web design (#FF5733), memory addresses, Unicode character codes — all of this is hex. The system uses digits 0–9 and letters A–F.

"Sweet Sixteen" — the American tradition of lavishly celebrating a girl's 16th birthday. Age 16 is considered in many cultures as the transition from childhood to adulthood, the age of first rights (driving, partial legal capacity).

Louis XVI (1754–1793) — the last king of France of the Ancien Régime, guillotined during the French Revolution. His reign became a symbol of the end of monarchical absolutism in Europe.
