Thirty — the threshold of maturity

Thirty is traditionally considered the threshold of adulthood: 'life begins at 30.' Psychologists describe the 'thirty-year crisis' — a reassessment of life achievements and goals. In most cultures, 30 symbolizes full maturity.

One of the most destructive wars in European history. It began as a religious conflict in Germany and grew into a pan-European struggle for hegemony. The Peace of Westphalia in 1648 laid the foundations of the modern state system.

According to the Gospels, Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. This expression has become a universal symbol of betrayal for gain. '30 pieces of silver' is used in politics, literature and journalism to this day.
