Sixty-nine — the Cancer sign

The number 69 visually resembles the astrological symbol for Cancer (♋). Cancer is the fourth zodiac sign, ruled by the Moon. The symbol of two intertwined figures represents the union of two principles.

1969 was one of the most important years in human history. On July 20, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans on the Moon. The Apollo 11 mission answered Kennedy's challenge and ended the Space Race.

The Woodstock Festival in August 1969 became the symbol of the hippie era and the counterculture of the 1960s. About 400,000 people gathered on a farm in New York State to hear Hendrix, Joplin and Joan Baez.
