Thirty-three — the age of Christ

By tradition, Jesus Christ was crucified at age 33. 33 is the third master number in numerology, symbolizing the highest spiritual wisdom and self-sacrifice. In Buddhism, 33 is the number of Indra's heavens.

In 2010, 33 Chilean miners were trapped 700 meters underground. The rescue operation lasted 69 days and ended successfully — all 33 were brought to the surface alive.

Long-playing vinyl records (LPs) rotate at 33⅓ revolutions per minute. This standard was introduced by Columbia Records in 1948 and is still used today.
